Track laying and renewal trains
p 95

The MATISA group, the world leader in the area of track renewal trains, has constructed more than 50 machines of this type. The experience acquired with each machine is carried over to the next construction, as with the constant developments which have maintained an incontestable technological lead in relation to other products on the market.

Removal unit for old sleepers
The removal of the old sleepers is carried out by a working unit which operates continuously. The removal cycle is entirely automatic, with the exception of the start up of the cycle which is done by the operator.

Principles for copying the track
With their mechanical and geometric conception, the MATISA Track Renewal Trains are capable of positioning, without external measuring, the new track in the trace of the old one, with cant, levelling and lateral positioning.

Laying unit for new sleepers
The positioning of the new sleepers on the platform is ensured by a laying unit equipped with several elements. The sleeper laying cycle is entirely automatic and is run by a programmable line computer (PLC). The handling movements of the sleepers are brief; which permits rapid action and thus a high output. The short movements limit wear and tear and consequently maintenance costs.
