ON TRACK - TOP PRIORITY TO THE RAIL NETWORK

MATISA is driving a paradigm shift in the railway industry, rethinking the traditional approach to manufacturing and maintaining on track machinery. The increasing complexity in this domain leads to serious disadvantages for all parties involved. It demands a new approach. MATISA is enabling this evolution to overcome current challenges.

TODAY'S CHALLENGES
Regulators, rail network owners, contractors and machine manufacturers continually raised requirements for On-Track Machines (OTM) and their operation: Most of today’s machines are highly individualized – this has led to a complexity that weighs on all stakeholders, resulting in an increasing demand for resources with little value for the rail network. This can be seen with evidence through long delivery times for new machines (3-5 years) and spare parts, increased costs, high uncertainties during homologation processes and therefore regarding operational use of the machines.
This strongly contrasts with the need for effective and efficient OTM services - especially in the German rail network that faces a significant need for renewal and maintenance. Without a paradigm shift it will be hard to realign the industry with the requirements of the rail network.

MATISA: BEST PARTNER FOR THE PARADIGM SHIFT
MATISA stands for a transformation from a pure machine designer towards a comprehensive solution partner. Here are five levers how MATISA enables the urgently needed shift:

1.  Systematic complexity reduction by focusing on today’s and future requirements that generate value: Reducing cost without neglecting customer-specific needs.
2.  Innovation with purpose: strictly avoiding unnecessary innovations that only add complexity without bringing value to the network.
3.  Human-oriented design: creating machines that empower operating teams, enhancing user-friendliness and efficiency.
4.  Speedy delivery: massively reducing lead times in Design, Production including Supply Chain and Homologation to ensure faster & reliable delivery. Our customer profit from machines operating in time.
5.  Comprehensive lifecycle management: in its partnership philosophy, offering service agreement (for spare parts and maintenance plans), operator training, and retrofits to ensure high performance levels with little downtimes.

FASTEST POSSIBLE DELIVERY - 18 MONTHS
The essence of speedy delivery lies in consequently reducing lead times from ordering to operational use by lean methods, increasing efficiency. Cross-functional Sales and Operations planning is key – it offers MATISA’s customers strong benefits: Being able to support customers by transparently showing how machine specifications trigger resources (time, cost) in Engineering, Production, Homologation and its Life Cycle.
Standardization and modularization initiatives have substantially decreased product complexity. This has led to tangible outcomes in terms of the communalization and standardization of parts and components across machine types. Consequently, our customers can rely on even more proven components, improved maintenance incl. parts availability. Being capable to prefabricate standardized components results in a leaner production process and reliable lead times.
Ordering a machine with an already authorized type registered (ERA-TV) such as a B 66 UC or a B 45 UE in Germany means delivery in only 12 months, with a homologation time of 6-8 months. We can even reserve slots for our customers, guaranteeing them production availability. In embracing these strategies, MATISA actively contributes to the required paradigm shift while keeping its customers on track and ensuring that resources spend are fully beneficial for the final recipient – the rail network.

SCHNELLSTMӦGLICHE LIEFERUNG – 18 MONATE
